  30. Hate to break this to you, but this has been part of dos.library V36.  All
  31. programs that use dos.library pattern matching will accept character ranges,
  32. complement ("anything but these characters/strings"), alternative strings,
  33. character groups, empty string and repetition.

  35. AFAICS all regular expressions are covered by these primitives, so our pattern
  36. matching should be just as powerful as in UNIX.

  38. Even better, Amiga wildcard expression matching is done after command-line
  39. syntax checking by the program so "mv *" will be recognized as a mistake--while
  40. UNIX will happily and destroy your files for you.

  46. Don't you mean "rename across devices"?  Rename simply isn't the same as mv.
  47. This would be a useful addition I agree.  But if you want a real Move or mv then
  48. get one from Aminet.  It's full of the buggers.  Even ARP used to have it.
